This shocking 2028 campaign promise from Bawumia to all aspirants

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called for unity within the NPP, promising all national executive aspirants roles in the 2028 campaign.

Following the conclusion of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) national executive elections in Kumasi, presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has issued a strong call for unity.

Speaking directly to both victorious candidates and unsuccessful aspirants, the flagbearer assured all contenders that their political journey with the party is far from over. He emphasized that the party requires the collective experience, fresh ideas, and energy of every single candidate to build a formidable team as preparations begin for the 2028 general elections.

Addressing the post-election atmosphere at the conference grounds, Dr. Bawumia sought to quickly heal internal divisions created during the competitive campaigning period. He urged party members to look past individual rivalries and channel their efforts into strengthening party structures from the grassroots to the national level. "You’ll be part of the 2028 campaign. There’s enough work for all of us," Bawumia told the gathered aspirants, reassuring them that their contributions remain vital to the party's future success.

The former Vice President highlighted that the diverse ideas presented by candidates during their campaigns could still be harnessed to reform party operations and drive political strategy. His remarks come as the newly elected national executive team—led by National Chairman John Boadu and General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua—officially assumes leadership. Bawumia noted that integrating defeated aspirants into campaign committees and strategic roles will prevent factionalism and project a unified front.

As the NPP transitions away from its internal elections, party leadership is pivoting toward organizational consolidation. Reaffirming his commitment to inclusive governance within the party, Dr. Bawumia assured delegates and supporters that the NPP will draw upon every member's unique strengths to build a resilient campaign structure capable of winning back public trust ahead of 2028.
