This is what Boakye Agyarko said after losing at the just ended NPP national delegates election

Defeated NPP chairmanship aspirant Boakye Agyarko has congratulated John Boadu and pledged full support for the new executive team.

Former Energy Minister and NPP National Chairmanship aspirant, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, has officially conceded defeat and congratulated John Boadu following the national delegates conference in Kumasi.

In a statement issued on Sunday, October 4, 2026, Agyarko described the election outcome as a reaffirmation of the party's democratic tradition. He extended heartfelt congratulations to John Boadu on his election as National Chairman, wishing him wisdom and strength in steering party affairs. Agyarko also congratulated all other newly elected national officers, describing their victories as a collective call to duty and sacrifice.

Expressing gratitude to his supporters, campaign team, and delegates across the country, Agyarko emphasized that their hard work and loyalty were not in vain. He stressed that internal contests within the NPP are not battles between enemies, but family contests among members committed to a common goal.

"Today, there are no individual victors or vanquished—it is the New Patriotic Party that has emerged victorious," he declared.

He urged all party members to immediately begin consolidating party structures, closing ranks, and presenting a united front ahead of future contests.

Pledging his unreserved backing, Agyarko affirmed his readiness to support Chairman John Boadu, the entire National Executive Committee, and flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He reaffirmed that the party's ultimate objective remains securing a decisive victory in the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.
