Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah Replies Contractor Over Highway Demolition Controversy

Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah responds to allegations that his church is obstructing Accra-Kumasi Highway construction, insisting he had actually been assisting contractors on-site.

The founder and leader of Second Chance Church (Believers Worship Centre), Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, has officially broken his silence regarding reports that activities from his church were obstructing ongoing construction works along the Accra-Kumasi Highway.

Addressing his congregation during a sermon on Sunday, October 4, 2026, the popular preacher expressed complete surprise over the allegations.

He stated that he was entirely unaware of any dissatisfaction or issues surrounding his church’s presence until the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, visited the project site, where the main contractor formally raised the concern.

Rebuffing claims of uncooperative behavior, Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah highlighted that he had actively supported the construction team from the moment they arrived on-site by granting them space to store heavy machinery and directing his own church security personnel to guard their equipment. Stressing his past goodwill toward the site workers, the prophet remarked:

"I thought I had no issues with the contractors because I was the same person who gave them a place to keep their equipment and allowed my security to protect them. I haven’t met the main contractor before, but whenever I meet his boys, I even tip them. I never knew I had offended him."

The man of God explained that he only realized the church's presence was viewed as an obstacle after the minister's official inspection, adding that he maintains a cordial relationship with the project workers on the ground.

As the Ministry of Roads and Highways works to address drainage and access concerns along the busy corridor, observers are watching closely to see how the church leadership and project contractors will collaborate to ensure highway works proceed without further disruption.
