NPP stalwart Abanga Fusani targets four million youth votes for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, urging early political mobilization and targeted youth engagement.
New Patriotic Party (NPP) leading member Abanga Fusani has set an ambitious target of mobilizing four million youth votes for the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as early preparations for the 2028 general elections begin to take shape.
Mr. Abanga emphasized that young voters represent the decisive swing demographic in Ghana's political landscape, making proactive engagement with the youth an urgent priority for the ruling party.
He urged the NPP leadership to craft targeted strategies that directly address the most pressing economic, educational, and employment concerns facing the younger generation.
According to him, the party’s campaign apparatus must prioritize transparent communication of its long-term vision while providing genuine avenues for young people to participate in the political process.
Mr. Abanga stressed that Ghana’s vibrant youth population constitutes an influential voting bloc that cannot be relegated to an afterthought during strategic election planning.
His remarks reflect the NPP’s determination to rebuild and expand its core grassroots base following the high-stakes 2024 general elections.
He called on party activists and grassroots organizers nationwide to step up community engagement and actively foster confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership capacity.
The aggressive four-million-vote objective signals the NPP's intention to center its 2028 campaign strategy around youth empowerment and political inclusion long before the next electoral contest.
