The Germany Branch of the New Patriotic Party has proposed greater diaspora involvement in manifesto drafting and policy planning ahead of the 2028 elections.
The Germany Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially called for a heightened diaspora role in party policy, manifesto drafting, and overall governance planning ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a formal statement signed by Branch Secretary Kofi Okantah, the diaspora group proposed regular consultative forums and capacity-building programs to strengthen political mobilization across Ghanaian communities abroad.
The proposals were presented alongside a congratulatory message addressed to the party's newly elected National Executives following the conclusion of internal national elections.
"The outcome reflected the confidence of the party's rank and file in the new executives' vision, competence and ability to lead the party into the 2028 elections," the branch stated in its release.
Commending all defeated aspirants, the branch described their election participation as a true demonstration of patriotism and commitment to the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition.
The external branch urged all aggrieved members, grassroots activists, and party factions to put aside internal differences and rally firmly behind the new national leadership.
"A united party would be better positioned to translate its shared values into an effective strategy for the 2028 elections," Okantah emphasized.
The statement reaffirmed NPP Germany's readiness to mobilize human and financial resources, promote party policies abroad, and maintain active collaboration with the national executive team.
Branch leaders expressed strong optimism that deliberate reconciliation and collective unity will help the party rebuild political momentum and win back the Ghanaian electorate.
