NPP General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua has dismissed speculation of a strained relationship with newly elected Chairman John Boadu.
NPP General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua has firmly dismissed speculation surrounding a personal rift with newly elected National Chairman John Boadu.
Addressing concerns over potential leadership friction following the national delegates conference, Kodua clarified that both leaders remain entirely focused on party success.
Public speculation had emerged due to their history in the 2022 internal elections, where Kodua defeated Boadu for the General Secretary post.
However, speaking during a media interview following the Kumasi conference, Kodua emphasized that both men are mature political figures who prioritize party interests above past competition.
He noted that neither he nor Boadu had ever expressed an inability or unwillingness to collaborate at the executive level.
"People are entitled to make their own assumptions," Kodua stated, adding that the shared goal remains returning the NPP to executive power.
The General Secretary highlighted that both leaders share a single strategic objective: securing victory for flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in 2028.
He expressed absolute confidence that the combined efforts of the chairmanship and general secretariat will deliver an effective campaign apparatus.
With the internal elections now concluded, party leadership is working to project complete administrative harmony across all national structures.
Kodua reaffirmed that the newly elected team is unified, structured, and fully prepared to execute its electoral mandate heading into the next general election.
