Ghana Jollof Case: Salomey Baffoe granted GH¢100,000 bail

The Adenta Circuit Court has granted Senior Nursing Officer Salomey Baffoe GH¢100,000 bail in the "Ghana Jollof" case.

The Adenta Circuit Court has granted bail to Senior Nursing Officer Salomey Awiti Baffoe in the sum of GH¢100,000 with two sureties.

The ruling on Monday, October 5, 2026, comes after the 40-year-old nurse spent nearly a month in police custody.

Under the terms set by the court, both sureties must be civil servants earning not less than a specified threshold.

Baffoe is facing charges over her alleged involvement in assisting UK-based TikTok personality Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, popularly known as "Ghana Jollof".

State prosecutors allege that Baffoe acted as a key liaison, helping recruit individuals to redistribute content and managing financial transactions.

She was initially arrested in September and remanded while police conducted cyber-related investigations into the social media operations.

An earlier bail application filed at the High Court on September 24 was rejected due to concerns over potential witness interference.

However, during Monday's hearing, the trial judge determined that investigations had progressed sufficiently to allow for her release on bail.

Her legal team expressed satisfaction with the court's decision, confirming they are completing the necessary paperwork to finalize her release.

The high-profile cyber case has been adjourned as prosecutors prepare to present further evidence in the ongoing trial.
